WAVELENGTH SALON

BEING YOURSELF IS ALWAYS IN FASHION

Wavelength Salon was created in 1978 by Trish Herrera. In the late '70s, Wavelength salon was filled with emerging talent and the Houston scene of Punk Rock. Trained by the Vidal Sassoon Method, Trish also combined art and her love of architecture with the art of haircutting. Creativity was high at this time and the acceptance of brightly colored hair, ink, and unconventional cuts were not an accepted "Normal." However, artists of every kind pushed on and were booming experimentally with non-rules across the world. Hair, speaking to us directly, became a powerful voice into Non- Fashion. The path took many of us to continue to press the boundaries. This drive gave us more freedom of self-expression. Today, we are much freer. We will not be dictated to what fashion is. We all have our own style. Everyone is simply unique. Being Yourself is Always in Fashion.
